Reverend Dr. Jerome Davis

Dr. Jerome Davis, a native of Louisiana, confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of fourteen and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. (Dr.) Solomon Shorter, Sr., at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. Under the faithful pastoral leadership of Dr. Shorter, Dr. Davis continued to grow spiritually and began serving in ministry as a Junior Usher.

Dr. Davis attended schools in the Rapides Parish School System and graduated from Tioga High School in 1990. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served honorably before receiving his discharge. Upon returning to Alexandria, Louisiana, he reunited with True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and continued serving faithfully in various ministries, including Usher Ministry, Choir Ministry, Young Men’s Sunday School, and the Food Bank Ministry.

In October 2000, Dr. Davis was called to pastor New Pilgrim Baptist Church in Woodworth, Louisiana. After prayer and spiritual counsel, he accepted the call and was ordained and installed in December 2000 by the Educational Missionary Baptist Association under the leadership of the late Rev. Donny Granvel. He faithfully served New Pilgrim Baptist Church for eleven and a half years.

Since December 2012, Dr. Jerome Davis has faithfully served as Senior Pastor of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Houston. He is happily married to Stacy Sylvain-Davis, and together they are blessed with four children: Jerome (Brittani) Davis, Trinity (Joshua) Taylor, Taylor Hendrix-Davis, and Jourdyn Davis. They are also the proud grandparents of six (6) grandchildren: Kailee, Zoii, Roman, Brynlee, Immanuw’el, and Judah.
